Here we go again

Right on Dave\'s biggest day of his career so far, his world crumbles around him. Literally. He is given a chance at reincarnation, and reluctantly accepts a random assignment due to having nothing left to live on for. In his new life, humanity has advanced in many aspects, and our protagonist grabs the chance to go where no one has gone before.

First story ever. I would appreciate constructive criticism in order to improve my writing. I have a fairly busy personal life, and fear I cannot commit to a steady release schedule with chapters beyond 1500 words. Perhaps I would find your criticism stimulating enough to make more room.
